About me

During my decade working within the fashion and advertising industry as a photographer and retoucher I have honed and nurtured my skillset to incorporate new techniques, creative ideas plus knowledge and understanding of both the creative process and the business world.

Throughout my career I have been successfully employed in in-house roles both within and through multi discipline agencies. These roles have been both on both permanent contract, and on a freelance basis. These experiences have led me to gain an in-depth understanding of the different demands, pressures and constraints of working within the industry.

One of the primary skills I have developed is impeccable time management which been of the highest importance when working to tight deadlines to complete projects on time and within budget. This has been invaluable when working either as the sole creative within the agency, or as part of a larger team.

Throughout my roles I have been required to manage both myself and others within my department, overseeing their quality of work, time keeping, problem solving and day to day activities. This has made me a confident, competent and disciplined team leader and qualified me to act as a senior creative. I am able to inspire loyalty from my colleagues through presenting a strong vision and clear plans.

Within agency roles I have worked on the accounts of household names and luxury brands such as Diesel Jeans, Peugeot, Girls Aloud, B&Q and Range Rover, delivering my creativity on time and within budget. Each advertising and billboard completed gives a sense of pride knowing that I put my heart and creative eye into each piece of work.

While working freelance I have built a successful city centre creative studio with an expanding client base. My private practice includes shooting and overseeing in the capacity of art director on demanding fashion and advertising shoots, design work and post production.

An eye for detail and a thorough understanding of current trends and styles has been key within my work, both in working as a photographer and as a retoucher. A passion for images has been with me since a very early age. This drive has motivated me throughout my career. I also enjoy pushing my skills and techniques, incorporating new knowledge and technologies. Learning from and sharing ideas and knowledge with my contemporaries is an aspect of my work that particularly inspires me.

I feel that now the time is right to explore new challenges and expand my skillset.
