I wish to apply for the Junior Production Artworker role as advertised through creativepool.co.uk on the 24th November 2011.

I am currently seeking to secure a new and challenging position in a busy, dynamic and collaborative driven studio environment. I am keen to further extend and enhance my existing skills and commercial experience. I believe that through supporting the senior designers and assisting in all aspects of the studio's operations, I would have the opportunity to contribute to an award winning design companys's success as well as having the opportunity to grow professionally.

I am a graduate of the University of Tasmania—Tasmanian School of Art (Australia), with a degree in Visual Communications. I completed Majors in both Graphic Design and Art Theory, achieving a High Distinction in Graphic Design.

Having re-located to London from Australia at the beginning of 2011, I have been employed on a full-time basis as a Graphic Designer at Promoworx, a small Design/Print Agency based in East London that provides general graphic design, magazine publishing, re-branding and print production services to a varied clientele. Through my appointment with Promoworx, I have been able to develop and explore my creativity within the context of the clients needs.

Being part of the small team at Promoworx has allowed me to gain invaluable experience in dealing directly with clients: building productive working relationships with them to really understand their requirements and liaising with them throughout the process on a professional level. I thoroughly enjoy utilising and enhancing new and existing skills by developing ideas from initial concept and taking them through to final production.

Critical to all of this work has been the capacity to provide design solutions which effectively communicates each client's message to their audience.

Working both independently and as part of a design and print company has honed my skills in time and task management. I am proficient in establishing work priorities and managing across a number of tasks concurrently and often in pressured situations. I have also worked in a number of busy team orientated environments where again I am very capable of establishing and working to team priorities to meet deadlines.

I have an extensive knowledge in the operation of the entire Adobe Creative Suite, and an advanced knowledge of the programs associated with the print and pre-press processes such as; typesetting, layout, photo correction and manipulation. During my period of employment at Promoworx, I have also prepared a high volume of press ready files in accordance with printing.com's strict file supply guidelines. This also involved providing a pre-press file checking service, trouble shooting client supplied files, providing proof's to customers and remotely submitting press ready files.

I have also created, developed and maintained both personal and commercial web sites incorporating HTML and Flash. I have extensive knowledge of both Mac and PC operating systems, and I am highly proficient in Microsoft Office.

I am hard working, dedicated, always approach work with a positive attitude and enjoy being challenged. I am reliable and work well independently but thrive in a team environment. I apply myself with enthusiasm to all tasks and posses a meticulous eye for detail. I am excited at the prospect of securing a position which allows me to roll up my sleeves and be involved in a variety of creative projects across both printed and digital mediums and working closely with senior designers to become an integral part of the creative team.
