About me

I've always been someone who thinks the consumer/customer should be at the core of all decision making within media, advertising, marketing and tech. This has been a central theme of my professional development, beginning with gaining a deeper understanding about how behaviour and psychology affects decision making within the work space and continued through my numerous ventures within the various facets of marketing and business development.

I've always been passionate about sport, music, video entertainment, gaming and tech starting with launching what is now South Africa's biggest music, gaming, sport and entertainment blog MyCityByNight and currently coming to fruition in my work at Tencent's biggest mobile game and newest entrant to the African gaming market, PUBG MOBILE while driving forward the agenda of WeChat and JOOX (music streaming) through growth marketing and partnerships in Africa.

I have worked across verticals during my time at agency, having cut my teeth on major African brands in Telco, OEM/Automotive, FMCG, Finance, ecommerce and Tech, ending up running the digital marketing for the mobile gaming and music streaming portfolio at Tencent and I believe that this has allowed me to build relationships and execute paid and other partnership deals across sectors.

It continues to be a dream of mine to use what is available within the world of strategy and tech to produce pieces of work that really make a difference to real life problems we have in the world, which is why I'm so keen on this particular role.

I am a lifelong Manchester United fan and I hope that my CV along with this blurb provides an indication that I display the characteristics required to join the team that is able to drive business results.
