About me
Creative designer/illustrator hungry for a new challenge!
I am currently the lead designer for a media/publishing company producing various products for the educational sector, from primary schools to universities.
Having started as a junior designer for the media side of the company, I have worked under an art director, in conjunction with other designers, as a supervisor to a team of artworkers and now slightly more indepentently on a creative committee.
Previous to this position, I worked freelance for three years in graphic design, illustration, storyboarding & animation.
During this time of generating my own workload I produced work for a range of clients including Loaded magazine and Picasso Pictures.
My career to date has given me a range of experiences.
It has allowed me to take projects through a creative process from conducting primary research with an audience; to generating, presenting and filtering ideas; then through production and print processes.
I've had to deal directly with clients indepentently and work within a staff structure: taking and giving direction, working within a team, and making decisions.
I consider myself not only a very creative person but also a professional one, and whilst striving to produce original and dynamic work am thorough and have great attention to detail.
Aside from this I am also a keen artist and take commissions for canvasses in my spare time.
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark.
