About me
My vision within the fashion industry is broad, ranging from different design aesthetics, along with pattern cutting and garment manufacture and production from mass market to high end. I have a solid understanding of the fashion industry ranging from manufacturing and the design process for a brand, client or catwalk.
The approach to design is about working and mixing contradictory fabrics and silhouettes, combined with a strong technical construction, which has roots in the craftsmanship of tailoring, creative cut and textiles. As a designer I like to mix my work, by making a beautiful and edgy out come; mixing tradition and innovation along with designing for a label or a client. I take my inspiration from different varieties of research ranging from nature, trends, and a muse.
"The Dysmorphic Obsessive" AW 2015 collection was inspired by distortion of the human body after extreme weight loss from morbid obesity, which I researched into heavily which was shown in "Graduate Fashion Week", featured in "Not Just A Label", Vogue UK and GWF for challenging and distorting silhouette, mixing contradictory fabrics
