About me
I am a graduate of the University of Reading's Department of Typography & Graphic Communication. I gained a 2:1 degree in Design for Communication in 2006.
Prior to attending University, I worked in the creative industry for 18 months during which time I gained detailed knowledge of print and production. Since graduating I have been employed as a designer by a full-service brand agency in Reading. I joined them initially on an internship and became a permanent employee in 2007. I have worked on and led numerous projects including: branding exercises; creating new brand guidelines and working with existing brand guidelines, event marketing livery and management and printed materials for numerous clients. I am solely responsible for several key accounts and ensure a good working relationship is maintained with each client.
I am experienced in all key design processes, technologies and associated software and take pride in pushing myself to achieve the best results possible. I make design decisions based on thorough research and the foundation principles of typographic design. I believe that excellent typography combined with considered application to the chosen medium is central to all effective communication.
I'm friendly, approachable and have a positive outlook. I am happy to work individually or as part of a team. I am looking to expand my horizons and move on to a greater range of projects and a greater degree of responsibility.
