I was excited to see your ad and read about your company as I feel it matches my abilities and ambitions closely. As a recent History graduate from the University of Manchester reading and evaluating information's veracity before creating my own originally researched work in a stylish, persuasive and compelling manor has been the main focus of my academic life for the past 3 years. History is less about dates and naked facts and figures than it is about selling one's opinion or side of an argument in a convincing and viscerally attractive fashion.
My previous writing experience includes working for my hometown (Blackpool Gazette) and University's newspapers and creating copy for a nightclub in which I was employed as a part of their promotional division. This required me to succinctly capture the attention of a young audience and successfully transfer their interest into increased ticket and drinks sales in the very competitive student nightlife marketplace. These experiences as well as my University studies have allowed me to hone my communication skills, both written and oral as well as developing highly transferable analytical and comprehension based skills.
As a recent, hungry and ambitious graduate I'm looking for career-building opportunities in an environment where I can learn and flourish. This is a great chance to work on brand development in a company with a great reputation, impressive credentials and most excitingly for me one which is young and as equally eager to prosper and blossom as I am.
