To whom it may concern,

My name is Richard Neal, 21, a photographer and filmmaker, and a recent graduate from the Film Production course at the University for the Creative Arts at Farnham. I have always been interested in the film and photography industries, and am very much looking forward to crafting a career in this field.

I regularly practice my own stills photography, being both analogue and digital proficient, and I also use a range of Adobe and other softwares in order to edit my own shots.

As a 2011 graduate from University, I am extremely keen to learn more and to expand my base of technical and theoretical knowledge of the industry through direct hands on experience at many levels. My studio management experience is limited at this time but, having studied Film Production to degree level for three years, I believe I have a robust understanding of what it takes to produce a visual work including film or high quality results from a photo shoot. I have experience from working on many film and photography sets, having worked in a variety of roles from DoP and Director, to focus puller and camera operator. I have a clear understanding of the requirements for a creative team to work together to produce high end visual results.

My course has taught me that if I want to succeed I am to challenge myself every day, more and more - which is what I strive to do.

I have had many opportunities to face challenges during the making of my own films which have required me to find alternatives to certain problems. I have a good eye and feel for a shot and I work well both in a group and individually, and have been told I have a great work ethic which allows me to complete a task to the best of my abilities and on time.
