Please accept my application for the graduate copywriter position. I believe that I have the skills, experience, and ambition necessary to be considered a solid candidate for the advertised role. I graduated with honors from the National University Ireland Galway in 2006 with a BA in both Psychology and English and later completed a Master's degree in Film and Television Studies at Dublin City University.

During my undergraduate, I completed work relating to semiotics, lexicology, critical analysis and research methodology, work which I believe to be relevant to the advertised post. As part of my studies in Psychology, I completed work in the fields of cognition, perception, reinforcement and behavior, understanding how these disciplines can be utilized to effectively evaluate and influence consumer behavioral trends resulting in targeted and effective strategies.

As part of my Master's Degree, I completed research and submitted work relating to television structure and policy, media finance, screenwriting, media economics, broadcasting policy and video post production. In addition, I completed work relating to advertising, visual communications and digital media. During my time at DCU, I also acted as an ambassador for the university at education fairs and open days.

Following the completion of my MA, I began working with the award winning, new-media production company, CR Entertainment Ltd. Since 2008, the company has created and distributed content using a cross-platform strategy that features Television, Internet Portals, Social Networking web sites, On-line games and Virtual worlds in addition to more traditional media such as books and DVD. I have a well-rounded education and an excellent background of experience to offer. Qualities that I possess for success in the position include:

- Editorial/proofing/copy writing experience with a close attention to detail. I have written freelance copy for a number of commercial ventures, websites and print publications, including Milwaukee Film, Hound Comics and Concern.

- Proficient IT skills, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio and Logic as well as experience across Microsoft Office Suite applications including Outlook, Word & Excel.

- Demonstrable knowledge of current digital media technologies, formats and platforms.

- Experience coordinating with various media departments and personnel, including public relations offices, radio and television broadcasters.

- Knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

- Working knowledge of SEO, content management systems, and analytical tools.
