About me

Riccardo Androni (Bergamo, 1996) is a visual artist exploring the fragility of human nature through photography, video, and performance. His work investigates the intrinsic meaning of reality, often addressing themes of impermanence, death, and the unknown, using metaphor to reveal the vulnerability that defines us as human beings. After studying Photography at LABA in Florence, he specialized in Moving Images Arts at IUAV in Venice, followed by a year as artist-in-residence at FABRICA, a research center in Treviso, and six months as a photographer for the Benetton Group. He holds a Master's degree in Photography from ECAL in Lausanne.

Androni's work has been presented internationally, including the Biennale of Young Italian Photographers, Portfolio Italia, Palazzetto Tito, DEBRIS (curated by Peter Welz), HERE BECOMES ELSEWHERE (curated by Carlos Casas), VENEZIA FABRICA FUTURA, DER VIERTE RAUM at Frappant Galerie, Offprint London at Tate Modern, and CO-EXISTENCE during Paris Photo. He has received the 2nd Prize at the XXII FotoConfronti and the Special Prize at the Combat Prize 2025, and his work has been featured in Corriere della Sera.

His practice combines conceptual rigor with technical mastery across photography, video, and performance. Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and diverse photographic techniques, Androni navigates both artistic and professional contexts, creating works that resonate across contemporary art, visual storytelling, and interdisciplinary projects. Based in Milan, he continues to develop projects that investigate presence, vulnerability, and the interplay between human experience and the unknown.
