About me
Hi, I'm René, an illustrator and graphic designer from Cape Town.
For over 10 years, I've helped small businesses, NGOs, and media agencies tell their stories through illustration, storyboarding, and graphic design. My work explores the human side of art — connection, relationships, and emotion — while keeping a playful edge.
I create using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Canva, and Figma, combining artistry with technical skill. I animate with Moho and Rive, and experiment with open-source AI tools like Stability Matrix and ComfyUI to push my creative process further. I also built my own portfolio site using HTML, CSS, and JSON, manage assets through GitHub and GitLab, and maintain backend systems with Cloudflare and terminal workflows.
I thrive in collaborative environments, value clear communication, and bring both creativity and technical fluency to every project.
