About me

I was very pleased to read your posting for a UX Designer. As a Designer, I am fascinated with people and inclusive design. I have 2 years experience in a UX role whereby there was only two of us in a team so I wore many business hates from a researcher, conducting this solely to designer, and even product manager in Data Interchange. Then, as a freelance web designer whilst on my travels in Canada. My previous graphic design and marketing positions I have gained knowledge about innovative product development, visual communication and user-centred design.

I found that user experience is the industry I can unleash my full personal potential and empower my creative confidence. My new knowledge and skills let me become comfortable with uncertainty and be able to leap into action more often to produce the best value of my work.

I have a background in Marketing and Graphics Design with a Master's of Arts in Digital Design and a Bachelor in Business and Marketing. Since my graduating and beginning my own e-commerce business, web design and web programming have been interesting hobbies that have helped enhance my abilities in HTML, CSS, Java programming. Graphic design has also been a huge interest from way back aiding me to experiment and master Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, XD and other Creative Suites.

If you are searching for a junior UX Designer who understands user-centred design, how to communicate and work with developers and produce insightful, thoughtful outcomes then I am very keen to work with yourself.

Do feel free to give me a call or email me to discuss your needs and the position at your earliest convenience. That said, I am currently located in British Columbia, Canada so there is an eight hour time difference so email is my preferred method of communication right now but I will be returning to England, mid/end October 2020. Whilst on the topic I would just like to say I am happy and comfortable to work remotely or within your office. In my previous position, I was located in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire four days of the working week and one-day remote which we used Microsoft Teams to communicate. But I am totally flexible.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Gray
