About me

I am a creative producer, project manager and administrator for theatre and creative events. Within my work I enjoy experimenting with ways to create more immersive audience experiences. I aim to produce aesthetically powerful imagery combined with vigorous dramaturgical accuracy.

I enjoy working collaboratively with other artists and working closely with practitioners from incredibly varied fields. I believe in finding ways to create innovative and beautiful events that are accessible and financially feasible.

My work as a producer means that I have experience creating and supporting events and programmes whilst adhering to specific guidelines and artistic policy. I also have experience creating programmes specifically for children and education groups, my work in this particular area has ranged from running workshops to facilitating large scale art projects and researching and booking other theatre companies or performers.

As an experienced Arts Administrator and Project Manager I am well accustomed to liaising with artists, agents, managers, orchestras and a range of other contacts as well as creating budgets, schedules, contracts and invoices, negotiating fees and booking. I find that as a producer as well as mastering the logistics of a show and venue, you must also be constantly raising it's profile, developing audiences and finding innovative ways to capture people's imaginations.

The last two positions I held also involved running a venue that could be booked out by other companies and individuals as well as charity organizations. Both times I implemented an new booking system and database that the companies have continued to use after my work with them was finished.

I have previous experience of assisting productions in many forms; I have worked as an assistant director and producer in the more traditional sense with theatre companies Unclaimed Creatures and Industrial Light Theatre. I also worked as Assistant to the Artistic Director at the New Wolsey Theatre over the busiest period of the theatre's year (during their Easter production.) In this role I assisted both the Director and Executive Producer of the theatre; liaising with visiting companies, assisting future programming, running marketing campaigns and helping to manage the day to day running of the theatre. My most recent assisting position was with theatre director Katie Mitchell, helping with the complex logistics of a new opera at the Royal Opera House and subsequent World Tour, this included, not only production duties such as score mapping, stage management and dramaturgical research but PA duties such as diary and meeting management, accommodation bookings and travel arrangements.

I have also worked as a producer for individual theatre shows, arts events and festivals. During these roles I have always delivered outstanding results and been praised for my creative eye and logistical solutions. Within these roles I have varied experience with casting, public interfacing, budgeting, fundraising, health and safety procedure, minute taking, advertising for and booking staff, facilitating work experience with local institutions, documenting and archiving, running social media, creating technical plans and schedules as well as the day to day running of the company or venue.

I am passionate about the arts and have worked in Theatre and hospitality since I was 16 and have a background in ushering, box office and event assisting with an emphasis on excellent customer service before moving into more logistically led positions including venue managing, administrating and producing all of which have given me familiarity with not only a variety of performance styles and venues but also different art forms including opera, theatre, poetry, dance, live art, visual art, photography and film. I also previously worked as and administrator for a top London estate agent so am familiar with the tasks involved in running and office.
