About me

Rebecca Otero is an artist, designer and furniture maker working in textiles and surface design. Her conceptual and emotional approach to the application of materials and textiles includes chairs designed to speak to each other and tables, which illuminate in response to their users. Current work includes designs for Uber fernweh, Berlin. Recent Shows in Milan Salone, London curiosity shop and the F2 gallery in, Tokyo. New works to be included in this year London design festival at Designers block.

Having curated and managed exhibitions in London and Brighton, she went on to spend a year researching and working in Mexico along with the Asociacion de Arte Textile, later to return to work as freelance print designer in fashion and interior textile.

Most recently completing a Masters in textile futures at central saint martins and assisting for Materials trend prediction at WGSN, Worth Global Style network. Now working as materials and product consulting for interior projects while continuing to teach.
