About me
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my keen interest in the role of Publishing Foreign Sales Assistant. As you can see from my CV, I am a graduate with the relevant qualifications for this role and with additional, successful experience in the workplace.
During my time at University, I undertook work experience at Hachette book publishers where I was praised for my professional attitude and ability to take initiative. During my time there, I was involved in managing the production of manuscripts through to publication and carrying out editorial and marketing tasks focusing particularly on copy editing, proofreading, marketing research and administrative tasks.
I feel I would be an asset to the company not just because of my passion for publishing and the English language but because I have a great breadth of knowledge across the industry gained from my time at University. I am highly computer literate, passionate, adaptable, organised and have experience and knowledge of social media, marketing, editorial, copyediting, proofreading, production and rights practices.
I am attracted to this vacancy, firstly, because my passion and the skills I learnt at University would make me an asset but also, I feel it would be a great opportunity to be a valuable member of a team as well as excelling independently, whilst building my skills in publishing overall for a great company.
I hope I have convinced you that my up-to-the-minute qualifications, proven skills in the workplace and enthusiasm to learn would make me an asset. I am confident that I possess the attributes you're looking for and am available to start within two weeks. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to discuss my application further.
Yours sincerely,
Rebecca Clark
