About me

My name is Rebecca Allan and I am extremely interested in working within the design industry.I have recently completed my BA hons Interior Textiles and Surface Design degree at Somerset College of Arts and Technology, Taunton. (2:1). I am very passionate about designing and would love to be given the opportunity to work within the industry. For my final major I produced a range of kitchenware products and designs all inspired from the shapes and structures that form from fairground rides as this fascinates me. I produced a range of Surface pattern designs that could be used for wall paper, hangings, table cloths etc and my products consisted of contemporary plates designs, coasters, placemats etc. I have a keen eye for colour and have recently won an award for design excellence presented by Axminster Carpets Ltd.

I am very hard working, love new challenges and am computer literate with Microsoft packages and Photoshop, I am currently living in Weston Super Mare and would be willing to relocate if necessary although my CV states I live in Buckinghamshire.
