Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to be considered for the Artworker position that you currently have advertised. Although I have a background in fine art, for the last fifteen years I have been working as a graphic designer, working for a large regional newspaper group, and later as the in house designer for a screen printing company. Most of my work has been for print using Adobe CC, and I have an interest in traditional printing techniques, but I do have some experience with HTML and CSS and am getting more proficient at using it.

Three years ago I started doing freelance work under the name Mosquito Creative, and have worked on a variety of projects such as corporate branding, magazine design and layout, promo posters and flyers, a number of clothing ranges and album covers for a very diverse client list that includes everything from investment advisers to catering companies to burlesque promotors. I'm used to working in a fast paced work environment, having previously worked in the design studio of a regional newspaper group responsible for publishing thirty daily and weekly newspapers. I have also worked as in house designer for a fast turnaround screen printing company where I was responsible for both original designs and making screen ready artwork. Given the opportunity, I think I could be a valuable addition to your team, bringing experience, an eye for detail, a passion for design, and an eagerness to develop my skills.
