About me

I graduated in a BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree four years ago where I worked in a deadline-driven environment at University. Since then, I have two years' experience working as an in-house designer for the Young People's Project where I was solely responsible for the publicity and marketing for this company. Unfortunately, my employment at the Young Peoples Project came to an end due to redundancy, but I decided to take this opportunity to carry out a work placement as a Magazine Designer at Asiana Magazine where tasks included cropping, pathing, retouching and organising images for print and collating material for the website whilst working in a team.

Currently I am working as a Careers Advisor for the National Careers Service and am still using my creative design skills on a freelance basis for Connexions, whenever I have free time from my current job. I am now ready to take the next step in my career and progress further within the Graphic Design field.

The creative skills and experience I can bring forward are having experience working within busy and pressurised environments at University, College and in employment, where I was working and experimenting with typography, colour, photography to create magazine layouts and manipulating images to create posters, advertising, corporate identity, brochures, flyers, branding and much more. I am an excellent communicator who is very good with meeting tight deadlines, managing heavy workloads, paying strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, being organised and an excellent team player. I am a quick learner and keen to build upon my existing skills.
