About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the Marketing and New Business Coordinator role advertised on the Creativepool website. With a strong interest in marketing, I believe I can contribute to an organisations success of helping brands effectively communicate the right messages to their target customers.
I enjoy a challenge and have an entrepreneurial spirit as one of the founding members of the charitable organisation, Yaarah Schools in 2009. The charitys commitment is to providing a learning lifeline to village children focusing in particular on very rural village schools. Setting up the organisation has not been without its difficulties but through sheer determination I have managed to successfully raise awareness and funds to start building work on a primary school within a rural Ghanaian village.
I have always been a driven individual and whilst doing my BA International Business I started and ran the Afro-Caribbean Society. This role highlighted my ability to lead, network and effectively deal with tensions within groups. During my undergraduate degree I took the opportunity to study abroad in United States in order to take on a fresh perspective.
My current role and responsibilities as a Personal Advisor include stakeholder management where I successfully build relationships with various individuals and groups in particular young people not in employment education or training. Building rapport is not always the easiest thing to do, however my charismatic nature seems to make the process a lot smoother.
Undertaking an MSc in Management Consultancy and Organisational Change at Birkbeck University of London has developed my knowledge, highlighting the importance of marketing and communications within the wider context of organisations. It has reinforced my understanding of the importance of relationships within organisations in order to help achieve strategic objectives.
I have used my initiative and taught myself how to manage and maintain Yaarah Schools media streams including the website (*), Facebook and Twitter, thus allowing the organisation to communicate with supporters more effectively. I also manage my own commentary blog (*/) which allows me to share my opinions on a variety of subjects including marketing campaigns and social media. I believe my in depth social media skills will be an asset to an organisation which understands the role social media can play in organisations. I keep updated with the latest trends by following key people in the field on Twitter and attending networking events about digital media strategies.
I am keen to develop my skills and learn from others who are in a position of expert knowledge and I would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate how I meet the requirements of this role. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for considering my application.
Yours Sincerely,
Ramat Tejani
