About me

An alchemist at heart, RafiQ Salleh has always managed to make the ordinary - well, extraordinary. Growing up in a working Singapore neighborhood, he developed a keen eye for devising creative solutions at a surprising young age.

The youngest of six brothers, his creative and competitive qualities turned heads. In the first grade, he distinguished himself amongst faculty by providing supporting illustrations in each of his written reports. Interest in an art contest in the Second grade took him to Singapore Zoological Art Competition, where he won first place for the best monkey drawing. Collectively, these early artistic adventures inspired him to view art as a vehicle for self-expression and financial independence - an inspiration that ultimately served him well.

He received his diploma in Fine Arts/Graphic Design from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in SIngapore and his Associates Degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Dallas, Texas.

As a career for some people and a passion for other, for RafiQ, art is part and parcel of his life. From his earliest years he has followed his own path and striven against all odds to transform his wide talents into art that makes a deeply personal statement. His talents and concepts of art have been honed over the years and never forced into the container of a particular school or style. A melding of East and the West, the ancient and the modern, his work bears the stamp of his individual history and vision.

After a decade of a promising career in Advertising as a Creative Director in Dallas, he decided to expand his limitless curiosity by becoming an entrepreneur and started several businesses. Gaining lots of experiences, network of friends, and the nature of how notorious business can become, he decided to retract his passion for art.
