About me

Rafi Nizam (rafianimates) is an award-winning independent Animator, Director, Story Artist and Character Designer from London. His work has won awards at British and International festivals, notably music videos for osymyso's "Follow The Legs" and "Faulty Choirs" - both designed, directed and animated by Rafi. Several of Rafi's character designs also received recognition at the Digital Artist Awards.

Alongside his independent work, Rafi is a multi-disciplined Creative Leader and Storyteller bringing Strategic Vision and proven track record of Innovation across traditional and cutting-edge media.

With over 15+ years experience in the Entertainment and Technology sectors, Rafi has worked with Universal, Sony Pictures, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, BBC and Sky amongst others. He is currently VP Creative for Development & Production of Immersive Entertainment at NBCUniversal International.

Rafi's recent work in Virtual Reality won Best Innovation, Best Use of Tech, Best Digital Product and Best in Augmented and Virtual Reality.
