About me
I am an enthusiastic and highly organised Graphic Designer with a thirst for anything new, exciting and fresh. With more than a year's experience in my current role in a busy, fast-paced fashion company, I have also gained experience within experiential marketing consultancies, and am a freelance trend hunter and illustrator in my spare time.
In my current position I am the sole graphic designer in the company, working across 4 brands. I am obsessed with detail and have a love of typography and colour. I work projects from ideas stage through to artwork completion, managing a budget and keeping to strict brand guidelines and deadlines. I liase directly with our print suppliers, and seek out new suppliers in order to keep budgets down as well as to keep on top of new print technologes and opportunities to keep our retail spaces looking fresh.
I have excellent organisational skills, and manage my time and workload effectively; as well as POS for over 20 stores, I also design and deliver all VM graphics, seasonal lookbooks, website graphics and HTML emails, print and textile designs for garments, adverts for press and PR and anything else which I can do to assist the visual direction and growth of the company; this means I am constantly working to strict deadlines, for many different people within the business. On a daily basis I report to the Head of Design, Creative Director, Visual Merchandise Manager and the Retail Operations Manager so my time has to be extremely well organised in order for me to be efficient and to meet deadlines. I am a naturally logical person, used to giving direction and feedback, and am always at the forefront of discussions and brainstorms with new and fresh ideas.
I have a passion for advertising, marketing, and of course fashion; and am drawn to new technologies, new media and new thinking. I am an avid blogger and trend hunter, absorbing everything I can find and using this to inform everything I do. I have extremely good trend insight and research experience and pride myself on being on top of current culture, fashion, music and design trends; this is reflected on my blog and I actively engage in social media to ensure I am constantly aware of new ideas and trends within my field, and in the wider world. Endlessly curious, my talents are multi-faceted and I can apply myself to a variety of projects simultaneously, with success.
I am looking for the next step up in my career, somewhere I can be challenged and really grow, and work alongside like-minded people in a busy and productive atmosphere, creating exceptional work.
