About me

A motivated and enthusiastic individual currently who has recently completed an MSc in Information and Library Management and obtained a distinction. Having worked within the banking industry over the past 12 years I embarked upon a year of study in order to pursue a change in career. I believe the technical subjects of the MSc have provided me with the knowledge and skills I need in order to undertake a more technical web based role. My dissertation thesis is on the adherence to the principles of information architecture within English University websites and is due to be completed in September 2011. This has required me to analyse 91 websites to ascertain what principles they apply in order to enhance navigation and improve ‘findability' for users.

Whilst my commercial technical experience is limited at present I believe the skills and experience I have obtained over the years, both as a project manager and sales process delivery manager, benefits me considerably as it allows me to utilise the strengths gained. I have the ability to adapt quickly to new environments and can be relied on to work within a team and deliver business objectives within tight timescales.
