Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Rachel Sharman, I have just completed my English and Creative Writing degree from the University of Salford with first class honours and am now looking for full time employment in a copywriter position.
I was first attracted to the copywriting advertisement because I thought it looked interesting, engaging and diverse. In other words, exactly the kind of job I wished for after university. I have massively enjoyed working as a part time copywriter for the last year, but I am now ready to move on to a more challenging, full time role. As for what I can offer to the business: professionalism, precision and, above all, passion.
The job description contains a number of roles I am already familiar with in a professional setting: I have helped design and create brochures; I have written copy for websites, blogs and email campaigns; and I also have experience researching topics, which I have done at length in order to create well-informed articles for my current company's magazine, Global Property Scene.
Altogether, I believe I am a great candidate for this role. I'm a team player as I am both enthusiastic and conscientious, but I can also work alone efficiently. I pride myself on having a high standard of written work and being able to change my tone to fit the target market. Ultimately, I'm hard working, reliable and determined, and I think the copywriting job is the perfect opportunity to prove these skills.
