About Rachel
I have the right combination of skills, experience and attitude to excel in the creative industry. With design knowledge combined with administrative management/PA experience for creative businesses, and a strong background in customer service, I feel that I can offer your company exactly what you require.
I've worked as a professional photographer nationally and internationally for over three years now, and have assisted many different types of photographers throughout the industry along the way. This means that my knowledge of different brands of equipment is extremely high and I'm used to handling a wide variety of clients in a diverse selection of locations.
Back in January 2011 I began work for Peppermint Magazine (a sustainable fashion and lifestyle publication) in Australia, where I was head of accounts and also worked as an in house photographer. This was an extremely sort after role and after a few weeks I began transforming the way their office ran. My tasks were broad and varied from day to day; one day I would be preparing accounts and dealing with suppliers and the next I would be shooting ten page fashion editorials. I was always involved in creative planning and art direction for the content of the magazine, and I used to be a key part in large-scale industry events. This combination of logistical business activity fused with artistic expression, combined perfectly and provided me with an excellent working environment.
In my current role I have been managing the business and administrative aspects of Johnny Two Shoes (a games developing company). As PA to the two partners, my role there demands that I take care of all non-creative aspects of the business for them, from invoicing clients and preparing tax returns to scheduling days and maintaining intricate record systems. Working together with them in a hectic studio environment is exciting and rewarding and I thoroughly enjoy helping their business run in a more efficient manner. I'm regularly called upon to give my creative input in to various stages of their game development, and am a valued member of staff.
