About me

I am a Studio Manager/Graphic Designer most recently working for a printer in Surrey. I have almost 20 years experience in the design and print industry. My recent role was divided between management of the studio and providing graphic design to a senior level for an extensive and varied client base.

As a Studio Manager I was responsible for organising, coordinating and overseeing all work in the studio, allocating work as appropriate dependent on skills and availability to meet high standards and tight deadlines. I also worked closely with sales and production departments, responding to queries and implementing procedural changes where necessary. Strong organisational and planning abilities were imperative in order to successfully manage the studio.

My role also involved graphic design to a senior level, from initial concept to completed, print ready or web pdfs. Clients included local businesses in the finance and health care sectors, local governments, private schools, high end retailers, charities and many more. I attended meetings with clients throughout the design process and formed close working partnerships with several of our regular clients. I am used to constantly updating and improving skills and technical abilities, for example Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint, Acrobat Professional, Quite Imposing and Word Press. I have learnt to prepare work for other services including large format printing and special finishes, for example: foiling, embossing, die cutting etc.

I take a personal pride in constantly challenging my own abilities and welcome opportunities to learn new skills, improve on existing knowledge and expand the level of service I can provide clients. I am constantly reviewing the management of studio work and staff to improve efficiencies and standards.
