About me

I graduated in 2008 from the University of Reading with a
MDes in Graphic communication and have since been working as a graphic
and information designer at a small sign consultancy in Redhill.

My role within the company consists mainly on setting out
artwork and designing mapping for shopping centres, which include Union
Square in Aberdeen, Arc in Bury St Edmunds and the development of
Wembley City. I am very capable of working within guidelines as the
mapping we create has to fit within a set of branding guidelines from
the client and we fit our design around this.
My other responsibilities include producing our own
original icons/symbols and setting up a monthly newsletter for the Sign
Design Society. I work on many different projects at the same time and
I am able to cope with being given large amounts of work at once with a
short amount of time for completion.

Within my time at university I worked on many print
projects that included the university prospectus (undergraduate and
postgraduate), various literature for the local sports centre and the
invitation for our end of year exhibition.

I am competent in using Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and
Photoshop and confident on a mac or a PC. I recently undertook an
evening course in Web Design Level 2 for Beginners which was assessed
by Adobe and completed in June 2009.

I am a enthusiastic worker who brings a positive attitude
to the office.
