March 12, 2009 Dear Personnel,I am writing in reference to your job listing posted on creativepool.co.uk, for a Inhouse Designer. I am extremely interested in this position and believe that my education and editorial experience are appropriate for the job. Prior to my recent move to London, I worked in the publishing industry in New York City after graduating from the University of Delaware in 2006. I most recently held the position of Senior Designer for Market Watch Magazine. In addition to art directing and designing feature stories, I was responsible for overseeing the junior staff, commissioning freelance work as well as acting as a liaison to the pre-press department. This experience allowed me to further develop my eye for publication design and taught me to work under the deadline pressures of a monthly glossy magazine.
