About me

Throughout my career I have maintained a high standard of communication across a wide range of positions. Working at Scottish Screen and various animation companies such as Ko Lik Films and Super Umami Ltd I have strengthened my tact and diplomacy through hands on dealings with clients and colleagues.
In my time with these professional bodies I have gained such experience as drafting letters, taking minutes, contributing to reports and proof reading. I have a terrier like attitude to detail and accuracy.
I have been working with, and building databases for over 2 years now. I created and maintained various databases at Super Umami which were needed to log props and characters as they were created and augmented throughout the TV series which was being animated at the time.
I have a range of IT skills which include Word Processing, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook in both PC and MAC - alongside this I have experience using Photoshop and Illustrator. I have worked extensively updating and editing websites. As a Production Assistant at Scottish Screen, I was responsible for these 2 websites - movingimageeducation.org and scotlandonscreen.org. This included editing and updating the content on a daily basis, as well as uploading and editing videos and pictures to the website.
My organisational skills are first rate and honed to the creative industries. The importance of a deadline is fundamentally important to me as is the level of quality a project requires. My experience of co-ordinating projects on both a local and national level with a variety of organisations demonstrates my ability to listen, adapt and succeed. With my client facing approach to others I am able to quickly understand the needs of a job or project from both clients and companies point of view. My understanding of the creative industries in Scotland and the associated recent changes means that I appreciate how important current projects are to future success.
