About me

My name is Rachael Miller; I have a years experience in working in a
fast environment working with food photography as a retoucher for
Morrison PLC I have also had experience using pack cameras. I also have
a city and Guilds in photography and an extensive photography
portfolio. I have a degree in Design for Digital Media from Hull
University. While at university I designed two websites for companies
in hull trading in double-glazing along with my advanced web design
part of the course this gave me the experience in working on live
projects for a year. As part of the course we had to act as though what
we was doing was for a client so I have knowledge of working to briefs
and also to tight time limits this means that I have to be organized
with time and how I get from the start of a project to completed
project. For the past five years I have had experience in Advertising,
corporate ID and also in 3D Design which I have started to incorporate
into my work with logos and products. The programs that I have 5 years
using is Photoshop which I used extensively in my last job, Illustrator
which was self taught from scratch with in the past 2 years as
previously I used freehand, Flash and Dreamweaver I picked up at
college and I have now brought the two programs together to create
interactive websites. As you can see from my portfolio I can adapt my
skills to any style that the client may require. I use my photos
sometimes as a starting point for my work or incorporate them to create
a unique design. Most of my Photoshop and Illustrator work is self
taught, which means that I can adapt to what the client wants very
easily.
