About me

I have recently completed an Hons degree in Graphic Design, a demanding fast paced course focusing on communication, logical and creative thinking and project management. During my degree I successfully combined my studies with work and other commitments showing myself to be self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure.

I am a lateral thinker, with the drive to see things through to completion. In short, from my working life I have gained business awareness, team values, the ability to take instructions well and leadership skills, and through studding I have developed time management and decision making skills and dependability.

I am currently working within the beauty retailing sector on a graduate program , which involves a variety of opportunities, working in sectors such as, store management, visual merchandising, graphic design and other HR opportunities, however my main interests lie in publicity design, digital and promotional design.

I have a passion for all things design, with particular interests in typography, branding and creating publicity material. I am looking to gain employment within a company that offers all aspects of promotion design, from marketing to PR design in print and on-screen/digital. I also have strong interests in e-commerce, and marketing/online design.

I am passionate about typography, and simplistic but contemporary timeless visual communication, this is how I would describe my personal style as a designer, I am a lateral thinker with the ability to see a project through from initial ideas and concepts to the final outcome, finished solution. I have some good skills to help support a design team, some of which are being competent, and familiar with industry software such as Adobe Photoshop, illustrator and Indesign, with the passion and desire to gain new skills, learn new processes, and from others I can communicate effectively, and value the input from others and team effort, I can take instructions well, but am not afraid to put across my own concepts, and opinions. I wish to gain employment with a company where I can utilize my creative nature, and continue developing techniques and practices, and gain knowledge from others.
