About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a Copywriter looking for a new home online, with experience of both online marketing, campaign planning, production, email marketing and with basic Adobe skills to boot.

Working with Senior Content Executive would be a change from my current position as Global Copywriter at Sunsail (a sailing holiday company), but I believe I have the right mix of skills to be a success at this position.

I am a writer first, from the first bit of copy that trips off my keyboard to the edits, re-orders and tweaks before it finally pops up in front of the customer on the perfect platform, whether it's a brochure, an email, an online banner or an editorial in the appropriate magazine. An important part of working for my current company is the ability to present quite difficult sailing concepts to new customers in a way that is accurate, but simple and in keeping with our brand identity. Working with web, sales and our teams 'on the ground', I create copy to meet our sales and content needs, enriched by information from the local teams and optimised to meet our SEO needs.

Working as part of the Creative Team, I am part of campaigns from the beginning. Suggesting direction, providing supporting copy for samples to meet the brief and helping to plan out how the campaign can be rolled out across collateral, digital and social. Day to day, I can be doing anything from campaign collateral, new web pages to snippets of copy for UX, sales or web teams to use. I have recently taken control of our email marketing, handling everything from content and data briefs to sending and reporting. By experimenting with data, send times and customer profiles I have managed to increase our CTR and open rates by 5-10% regularly. With both web and email, I write copy and select the perfect images to compliment the content.

This year I took charge of the initial production of the brochure, connecting with teams across the company to fact-check current content, source new content, approve content with stakeholders and enact the roll-out of content across world to the translated. It was a very intensive project, but being the centrepoint for stakeholders and teams worldwide to connect to enabled me to conduct a much more 'joined up' approach to the project, as well as have much more control over the overall tone of voice.

I've picked up a hodge-podge of skills along the way - a dash of HTML, a touch of CSS and a pinch of Indesign and Photoshop - and it's come in handy to not only create my own work but to assist our Graphic Designers and Web team in their work.

I hope you will consider my cv, and let me know if you have any questions.

Yours faithfully,

Rachael Bundock
