About me

Currently seeking mutually beneficial opportunities worldwide...

Hi, I'm Phil Vorster, a Graduate Product Designer from Loughborough University.

Born in South Africa, very proud I might add!! At the age of 13 my family moved to the Middle East, Abu Dhabi, where I completed my secondary education at The British School Al Khubairat. Upon finishing my A-Levels, I wasn't ready to jump straight into further education, so decided to work for 6 months followed by 6 months of backpacking through South East Asia and South America before returning to education at Loughborough University.

As a child I always dreamt of being an inventor. I can safely say...I'm still dreaming of becoming an inventor. Currently the wording is slightly different; product designer with a passion for sustainability and improving people's lives.

In my free time I'm a keen sportsman and enjoy watching & playing rugby, cricket, football/soccer, wakeboarding, surfing and snowboarding, just to name a few.

Proud to say I am also the co-founder of Speranza22, a charity rugby team created 5 years ago that since competed every year in the Dubai Rugby 7's.

Other than sport I also enjoy travelling, music, cooking and learning new languages, currently speaking Afrikaans, English, Spanish, Arabic and learning Italian.
