ABOUT

In health, few words carry more weight than “No.”

For Australians living with disability, “No” is often delivered as prognosis, prediction or limitation. As the Official Healthcare Partner of the Australian Paralympic Team, Bupa sought to redefine its role. Not simply as a provider of care, but as a partner in possibility.

Ahead of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Paralympic Games, Bupa launched No Board, a national campaign featuring three-time Paralympian Ben Tudhope.

Diagnosed with cerebral palsy and told he may never walk or talk, Ben went on to become the world’s youngest Winter Paralympian at 14 and a Beijing bronze medallist. But long before podiums came predictions.

Working with artist Gaston Castagnet, Bupa created a custom snowboard covered in the real “Nos” Ben had faced throughout his life. The hero film captured Ben carving down the mountain, physically shredding those words from the base of his board, transforming doubt into defiance.

The campaign extended beyond film into a national OOH rollout, transit domination via the Melbourne Metro Tunnel, social media amplification and extensive earned media coverage, positioning Bupa at the centre of a broader cultural conversation about disability and belief.

No Board reframed healthcare from reactive support to proactive empowerment.

Because in health, belief can be as powerful as treatment.

And when limits move, so does possibility.
