ABOUT

The Reductive Calendar is a self-initiated project from Eertmoed Studio built on a simple premise: reveal what matters by removing what doesn't. The goal was a functional wall calendar holding the entire year in a single view, stripped of grids, boxes, month headers, day labels, holidays, and illustrations. Just the dates, arranged so clearly that a year reads at a glance.

Seven columns represent the seven days of the week. Each row is a week. Months give way to each other mid-row, marked by a small tick, so the year flows top to bottom as one continuous stretch of time. Each date is abbreviated to a letter and number: J.01, F.14, D.25. Monospaced type keeps every date optically equal, so nothing competes for attention. Printed on rich black archival stock, the piece reads as austere from across the room and reveals its craft up close.
