ABOUT

Nissan Energy set out to change how electric vehicles are perceived—from standalone products to active contributors within society. Rather than explaining V2G technology through specifications, the challenge was to make its value instantly human, intuitive, and globally relevant.

Inspired by the way forests sustain balance through hidden root networks, the film introduces the idea of a “hidden network,” where energy is quietly shared for the benefit of the whole ecosystem. Nissan EVs are reimagined as living nodes—giving, receiving, and balancing energy—reflecting values of harmony, subtle contribution, and collective progress.

The 60-second cinematic film was concepted in Japan and executed in the UK through a fully remote production, blending intimate everyday moments with restrained, nature-inspired energy visuals. Shot with documentary realism and emotional restraint, the work translated advanced technology into a future that feels calm, human, and within reach.

Launched globally from Japan, the film anchored Nissan’s presence at the Japan Mobility Show, reaching over 423,000 visitors and successfully reframing Nissan Energy as a vision for shared urban power.
