Asia was a huge natural history landmark title for the BBC. We wanted to reveal to audiences Asia’s secret and spectacular world, on a scale never seen before.
The SMP was: Asia, a world within one continent, bursting with the greatest diversity of life.
Our idea was to reflect that by playing with scale. We wanted to it be bold, surprising and modern, but also referencing Asian traditions.
We decided to show one key animal in a dramatic pose, which, if you looked closer, you would see emerging out of the land itself, as they are intrinsically connected.
The landscape is a glorious view based on the animal’s own habitat, but with a perspective that shows hints of other habitats in the distance.
Sumptuous to look at, it has drama unfolding before our eyes and the promise of many stories to come.
