This short film explores the notion of homeland as a state of continual becoming and shifting experience, a place we carry, lose, or reinvent through memory, ancestry, displacement and the search for orientation in a changing world - interrogating its semantic and emotional dimensions.
At its heart lies the seemingly irrational coexistence of opposing impulses; the longing for home alongside the desire to wander; the need for bond entwined with the urge to escape. Whilst questioning the paradox of human longing for bonding and the simultaneous desire for freedom, it inhabits the space where profound meaning coexists with transience.
