What is home or homeland. A geographic destination ? A place we carry, lose, or reinvent through memory, ancestry, displacement and the search for orientation ? An inner state of peace we search in a multilayered universe ? And what happens if we become disrooted ? Is there a collective compass guiding us to our all-natural magnet or are those speculations and we are in a constant state of inbetween dimensions.

This experimental short film explores the notion of home as a state of continual becoming and shifting experience - interrogating its semantic and emotional dimensions.
At its heart lies the seemingly irrational coexistence of opposing impulses; the longing for home alongside the desire to wander; the need for a deep connection entwined with the urge to escape. Whilst questioning the paradox of human longing for bonding and the simultaneous desire for freedom, it inhabits the space where profound meaning coexists with transience.
