ABOUT
The brief:
Crimson is a leading Microsoft Solutions Partner with immense technical depth, but they were trapped in a sector-wide 'sea of sameness'. Overly complex messaging left clients confused, while a lack of a unified voice meant the internal team struggled to articulate their USP.
The brief was to rethink Crimson's positioning and identity completely. We needed to strip away the technical jargon and establish a clear, future-ready narrative, one that integrates the potential of AI while leading with the human outcomes that genuinely appeal to a C-Suite audience.
Mediums:
Brand Research and Strategy, Visual Identity Design, Comprehensive Sales Toolkit, Brand Guidelines, Branded Communications and Launch Campaign, Social Media Toolkit, Brand & Corporate Video, Website Design.
Concept:
Our strategy identified an unoccupied space in a crowded market: "the public-impact technology partners." While most competitor brands focused purely on technology features and commercial ROI, we positioned Crimson as the partner for organisations where digital transformation directly affects lives.
We deliberately focused on the outcome of change, not the means. The core concept focused on AI-powered outcomes that are built to serve communities, rather than technology for technology's sake. By framing the brand around the language and motivations of C-suite buyers, we shifted the narrative from technical compliance to one of a trusted challenger and deeply invested partner.
Execution:
- Discovery & Strategy - We kicked off with an in-depth discovery phase (including workshops and customer research) to cut through complex industry jargon, establishing a unified purpose the entire company could rally behind.
- Visual Evolution - To support the strategy, we evolved their brand identity. We retained their core colour but shed the clinical tech aesthetic. Because their audience expects a premium consultancy experience, we developed a modern, progressive style. We paired warm editorial tones with grounded photography of real people, creating a look that feels directly connected to the strategic challenges and conversations happening in a client's boardroom.
- The Sales Toolkit - A critical piece of the rollout was a human-led messaging framework and sales toolkit, equipping the Crimson team with a unified voice to pitch strategic business value rather than just IT specifications.
- Digital & Motion Rollout - Their new narrative and identity were extended across digital-first touchpoints, a full website redesign, and motion, including brand and corporate videos, to signal the change and put human, results-led stories front and centre.
Results:
By partnering with Crimson at a pivotal moment, and by framing their technical excellence around the human lives they impact, we proved that B2B technology branding can be deeply purposeful, strategic, and commercially powerful.
By prioritising outcomes over tech, Crimson has successfully transitioned from a traditional technical implementer into a strategic business partner. The clarity of the new identity has given their team the commercial confidence to engage differently with university boards, housing association executives, and local authorities.
Most importantly, by carving out the unique "public-impact" niche, the work has successfully reshaped market perceptions, unified its consultants under one voice, and positioned Crimson to lead the UK market during this wave of AI-driven transformation.

Notes:
This project serves as a vital case study for positioning in the B2B technology sector as a whole. The industry is wrestling with the potential and challenges of AI. Mid-tier technology providers frequently suffer from a brand deficit; they invest heavily in technical certifications but neglect their own narrative.
We didn't just change how Crimson looks; we helped shape their very direction as an organisation at this significant time of change.
