Brief: Design promotional communication materials for the launch of a new graphic arts exhibition centered around visual ephemera of Indian fireworks design and packaging. The exhibition will explore the nuances and discuss the visual storytelling and design in depth.

Concept: Poster design centred around the reimagined typographies of Indian firework packaging. The design which has the reminiscence of childhood emotions has been rendered using stylized devanagari lettering/script to give it a playful and modern twist. The colouring and type draws inspiration from spherical bullet bombs, twisting snake cakes and narrow sparklers. The exhibition is an enquiry into how the packaging and the graphic design have evolved and still remains relevant in the present.
