Stormdeck is a tool for designers to help overcome creative block and to visually communicate ideas to team members and clients before the design process has begun.

The pitched prototype for Kickstarter was a deck of 80 cards split over 5 categories (as shown in the Kickstarter video). After backer feedback the deck was whittled down to 70 cards split into 4 categories:

Style Cards will help you to determine the look and feel of your design.
Message Cards help you to define the core emotional response you want your design to evoke.
Colour Cards help you to select the key colours for your design.
Font Cards help you to find a style of font that best complements your design.

Simply select which cards you think will best suit your project, try different styles, colours, in all different kinds of combinations. These cards are your guide, helping to give your ideas clarity and direction before you begin. Stormdeck is also a perfect way to involve your client or team members early on in the design process.

Stormdeck is designed to help graphic designers in the following ways:
