Dear Sirs,
Be it working in a high end textile industry or on small freelance projects, contributing efforts that allow me to create something innovative along with understanding end consumer demands and changing trends, has been my way of working throughout my professional life.
Moreover, visiting various design exhibitions, working with artisans on intensive craft projects, as well as being closely involved in managing design events and administration work at Craft Central organisation in London; has reinforced my objectives of building a career as a designer and explore the dynamic possibilities that come along.
My intensive research in three dimensional woven textiles, during my degree project at Central Saint Martins in 2011, had been highly appreciated by various Textile specialists, professors and designers and got featured in reputed publications such as Frame Magazine, Close Up interiors and blogs. This project helped me to explore deep understanding and innovation in fabric woven structures, which I continue to carry forward till date in home textiles.
Recently having worked at one of the prestigious textile design companies, Himatsingka Seide Pvt Ltd based in India, I have had an opportunity to explore myself within a highly creative environment. My work includes creating woven Jacquard/dobby & embroidered fabrics for upholstery & fashion textiles; creating new color range for upcoming collections; additionally, I possess good knowledge and skills in Nedgraphics, Adobe suite and MS office. Being a highly organised person and a fast learner, alongwith my skills and experience, I believe I can contribute to the stated job profile.
