About me

I am a recent graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University, specialising in printed textiles design. I have a strong passion for fashion and design and want to develop as a designer with a company. Through my time at university and in previous work experience I have learnt and developed strong printing skills, by creating my own designs from start to finish. I have also had experience in helping designers with all print processes from dying fabric to screen printing to making up the garment during the course of my internship. I am extremely interested in this position as I can combine my current knowledge of printed textiles, illustration and graphic design, and develop my style and design work within a creative atmosphere. With proficient knowledge of Photoshop and developing knowledge of Illustrator, I am keen to learn further Adobe packages and feel confident using Photoshop/Illustrator to help develop design work and ideas. In my previous internships, I have learnt a great deal about the processes included in creating a design. I like working within a creative team, and thrive in this atmosphere. However I am also comfortable working alone and welcome new challenges and tasks in every job I do. My passion is within the design industry, in my previous work experiences I have proven to work to tight deadlines and feel confident working alone and in a team. I am interested in developing with a company and succeeding in the fashion/textiles industry, and I feel I have the necessary skills to fulfill this position. Kind Regards Pria Bhamra
