ABOUT

A series of sculptural lighting made from ultra-thin, translucent porcelain and earthy, unglazed terracotta and inspired by the fractal-like chaotic structures found in natural forms. The Flare series reference the organic and varied shapes of bracket fungi and exploit the warm glow that backlit porcelain emits. A range of sizes is created as pendants, table and wall lights.

The basic form took a year to develop, exploring various porcelains and developing a range of tools, such as press moulds, and mounting systems, all created with a 3D printer.

The results are a spectacular and beautiful range of sculptural lighting, with each piece being unique.
