About me

Hello:

I believe I meet the skills and experience outlined in the posting. I have over 15 years project management experience for clients working in contemporary visual arts, design, architecture, television, film, performance and publishing in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the US. This includes outputs for biennials, museum and galleries, terrestrial broadcasters, cinemas, festivals, media marketplaces, VoD platforms, talks platforms and publishers.

I also have 8 years' experience in managing strategic, multi-year, cultural programmes for public funders including the delivery of strategic partnerships, financing and funding, commissions, public programmes including talks and screenings, professional development programmes, symposia, research and publications. Through this work I have a developed understanding of cultural policy and creative practice in the UK and have an extensive network of senior colleagues in the creative industries in the UK, Europe and the US.

I have been responsible for project and programme financial management and post-project/event reviews; ensuring that performance and impact targets and diversity outcomes had been met. I have had budget responsibility up to £2.3 million and reported to financers and major public funders on multi-year, strategic programmes against different and changing frameworks. I have a strong understanding of contract law and IP as it applies to the creative industries including experience of agreeing heads of terms and issuing agreements for rights holders, talent, heads of departments, crew, contractors, venues and publishers.

I am highly organized which facilitates excellent time and priorities management, delivers projects and programmes on time and assists in keeping multiple stakeholders and colleagues informed of the progress of deliverables. Significant experience with US clients has engendered a can-do, pro-active, management style and attitude with a focus on resolving problems speedily.

I can work independently and as part of a team, working efficiently and precisely in the delivery of each stage of a project to the highest standards of production. I have been responsible for the recruitment and management of employees, production teams and crews, working with colleagues who may have differing understandings of a project or event, fostering co-operation between team members and external consultants and agencies.

Through work in public affairs, I have developed keen negotiating, influencing and written communication skills and am able to write in a variety of styles for a variety of outputs. I have worked with internal and external media agencies and commissioned the production of a variety of communication tools, which has included working with graphic designers, publishers and writers and negotiating rights for photographic and moving image material.

If this experience is of interest, then I look forward to hearing from you.
