About me

I am an extremely eager graduate looking to embark on a career in advertising and marketing. I have recently completed my degree in Fashion Promotion achieving a 2:1. Although my degree was fashion based (much of it marketing work) I have decided to diversify my career. I also feel my interests have somewhat changed since choosing me degree as an 18 year old. Since starting my degree I have travelled extensively, observing different cultures and psychologies. I have completed a work placement at the Gucci Press Office. During this time I developed my professional skills and became an excellent multi-tasker (as well as learning how to be tremendously patient, working in a small office of four women- two of which were pregnant). My degree provided me with the opportunity to learn hard skills (computer and creative) as well as my soft skills. I excelled as a leader for group projects, but was also happy taking direction or working alone. I have always been very analytical in my work and confident with my numeracy skills.

With the rise of new media, advertisers have to be more aware and creative, which I find very exciting and want to be a part of. I like to enjoy my work and am looking for a career, which will provide me with a challenge to constantly learn new skills, with the opportunity for real progression. I am very eager to work in marketing, because there is a creative element along with strong business and inter-personal skills. I truly feel I am most suited for a job, which will allow me to work across a broad spectrum, while working with clients. When given a project I am methodical and research all avenues, without fear of failure. I am not afraid to use my initiative to make or suggest improvements.
