About us

The Political Studies Association has been working since 1950 to develop and promote the study of politics. On behalf of our international membership of teachers, students, academic experts and practitioners, we advocate a set of common principles that promote the intellectual, social and public value of the study of politics. As a result, British expertise on politics is recognised around the world for its scholarly quality, its openness and – most of all – for its ability to bridge both ‘politics in theory’ and ‘politics in practice’.
