Dear Sir/ Madam,

I wish to apply for the role of Creative Mac Operator (ref 12110).

This position is of great interest to me as I am very eager to pursue a career in desktop publishing. I believe I have necessary experience from the knowledge gained during my degree and the roles I have carried out since. In my most recent role as a Production Editor with Practical Law Company, my role involves managing the production of a number of legal guides both online and in print. Main activities include setting and laying out print content using InDesign, photo editing and manipulation, and editing XML content for publication online. With my background in Architecture, I have many years experience of using the Adobe Suite and produced my portfolio and dissertation using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, whilst also developing my creative abilities. I have 8 months experience working in a busy architectural practice, assisting with projects and producing presentation documents for clients. I am also proficient in Microsoft office, including Powerpoint and Publisher. I am currently redesigning the website for a family-run business in my spare time.

I am a team player and thrive from working in a busy, dynamic environment.
