About me

I am a dynamic communications professional with extensive experience of
working to exceptional standards in a fast paced environment. I am
proactive by nature and possess the key skills and passion to excel in
this role.

I gained a great deal of professional editorial experience while
working for the International Business Leaders Forum. I competed with a
large number of trainees and professionals in order to gain a place on
IBLF's communications internship. I began in December 2009 to assist
the on-line editor in preparing content for migration to a new website.
Within a short space of time I had proofread and edited over 100
articles for migration to a new website. My initial task was to edit
the news, editorial and media coverage sections of the website from
2007 through to present day. In showing that I could manage myself and
my work schedule efficiently and effectively, I was given the
responsibility of writing new copy for the IBLF timeline in preparation
for the new website. I sourced images, carried out in-depth research
and edited this section of the website.

I proved that I had a natural talent for combining accurate
intelligent research with concise delivery of the facts. I was rewarded
for this achievement by being offered a paid opportunity to work on an
intensive content migration project using a content management system.
My preparation, research and willingness to proactively find solutions
to problems paid off. I started work on the project at the beginning of
March, uploading the content that I had been editing since December.
This included fact sheets, news articles, editorials, media links,
tools and framework pages and edited publications. As part of this I
used image editing software such as Photoshop to re-size pictures for
use on the CMS.

As with previous assignments I finished ahead of schedule. This
meant I was able to get involved with handling complicated page editing
processes outside of content migration. I was also able to carry out
interviews with internal experts for a series of webcasts to be
streamed on-line. The experience of working alongside a highly
knowledgeable on-line editor was priceless. My time at IBLF changed my
professional and personal outlook for the better and the long term.

I have the qualifications, hands on experience and personal
attributes to excel in this position and make it my own.

I am available for interview at your earliest convenience and look
forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely

Phillip Cogger
